The city manager gave routine departmental updates at Monday’s council meeting, saying five proposals have been received to update Lafayette’s development-impact fees and staff will be interviewing consultants over the next few weeks to select a consultant and begin the update process.

Parks, Trails and Recreation staff are advancing plans for the Hamlin Parkland site after an October 29 workshop and are encouraging residents to complete an online survey by Nov. 17 to provide input. Public works teams are preparing for the rainy season by clearing ditches and addressing work orders related to potholes and signs; engineering is advancing design for the 2026 street maintenance project, and next month the city will refresh striping on Mount Diablo Boulevard and Moraga Road in the downtown core.

The city manager opened the floor for questions and there were no public comments on the update at the meeting.
