Atascosa County Commissioners Court approved the fourth amendment to an interlocal agreement with the Alamo Area Council of Governments on Nov. 10, 2025, to fund the Cowboy Connect fixed-route transit service between Atascosa County and the Alamo Area COG for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2025, and ending Sept. 30, 2026.

The amendment sets Atascosa County's fiscal contribution at $135,652, payable in two installments of $67,826 due Nov. 15 and April 15, and authorized the county judge to sign the agreement. County staff described the service as the buses that run among the county’s three cities, with city partners reimbursed for part of the county’s share.

Commissioner Gillespie moved for approval, Commissioner Riley seconded, and the motion carried with no recorded dissent in the minutes.
