The Petersburg Borough Assembly voted to award the Banana Point Breakwater Improvements Project to Western Dock & Bridge of Ketchikan in an amount not to exceed $978,000.

Public Works Director Morrill’s memo and bidder information from the Sept. 26, 2025 bid opening was included in the meeting packet. The mayor publicly thanked PIA for contributing $78,000 toward the project and said that without that contribution the project might have been at risk. The award motion was moved, seconded and approved by roll call with all members voting yes.

Next steps: staff to finalize contract documents and proceed with award and project mobilization under the terms and budget approved by the assembly.
