The committee reviewed two personnel/contract items that the full council will consider at its Nov. 24 meeting.

The first item is a contract with Riley Jackson; the committee confirmed the contract was circulated and had no questions at the pre-meeting. The second is an employment agreement for Kale Smith to serve as acting city manager; the committee discussed including retroactive effective dates to the appointment and staff said council can make that part of the motion when considering approval.

No votes were taken at the pre-council meeting; both items will be moved to the regular council agenda for formal action.
