Councilmembers discussed Nov. 4 forming an EMS committee to explore emergency medical services challenges in the region and return recommendations to the council.

Councilmember Ty Graham said the topic is a valley‑wide issue and urged council scrutiny. “I think that's a critical time right now for communities across the valley to address EMS related issues,” he said, noting similar reporting on nearby municipalities.

Several members volunteered to participate. Mayor Rick reminded members that committees must comply with the Sunshine Law and that membership should be sized accordingly. The meeting did not adopt formal charges or make a referral; staff and council members will organize the committee structure and invite relevant superintendents and stakeholders to discuss needs and conditions.
