Pitkin County commissioners on Nov. 6 selected Laura Whitley for the Airport Advisory Board alternate No. 2 seat. Staff said the appointment fills the remainder of a term that expires in April 2026.

Four applicants were considered: Christy Ferrer, Lara (Laura) Whitley, Jack Cohen and Allison Richmond. Commissioners cited Whitley’s community engagement and prior local involvement as reasons for the selection. Charlotte (staff) said staff will draft a resolution to place the appointment on a future business agenda for formal adoption.

What's next: staff will prepare the resolution and place it on the November BOCC agenda for formal appointment.
