At the Nov. 6 meeting staff presented Ordinance 14‑20‑25, a first reading that would amend chapter 54 of the Centreville town code to align the town’s ethics rules with recent changes in state law. Staff said the draft follows the state model language and therefore requires a public hearing as an ordinance.

Council set the required public hearing for Dec. 4 and did not take final action on the ordinance at the Nov. 6 meeting. Staff said the draft ordinance updates local ethics provisions to conform with state amendments and will be published with hearing materials.
