The El Paso County Planning Commission voted 5-0 on Nov. 6 to approve the bridal plat for the Sky Vista subdivision (file SF2434) and to forward the matter to the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners with eight conditions and four notations.
The motion, made by Commissioner Schippel and seconded by Commissioner Brew, included a formal finding that water quality, water quantity and water dependability are sufficient for the proposed filing (Sky Vista subdivision, filing No. 1). Chair Jay Carlson called the vote; Commissioners Schippel, Fuller, Jack, Whitney and Carlson voted to approve the resolution as presented.
Commissioners did not spell out the substance of all eight conditions or the four notations on the record; staff materials distributed with the agenda were referenced during the motion. The agenda motion directed staff to forward the resolution and supporting documents to the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners for their consideration and final action.
Planning staff present included Planning staff member Kilgore; the commission also introduced new planner Jen Mueller earlier in the meeting. No members of the public spoke during the public-comment period before the Sky Vista item.
Because the commission’s action at this meeting was to approve the bridal plat and forward it to the county commissioners, any subsequent changes, conditions or final approvals will be recorded in the Board of County Commissioners’ hearing and minutes.
