The Chelsea Public Schools School Committee voted unanimously to approve three consent-agenda items presented at the meeting.
The items approved were: (1) acceptance of a private grant from the Tide Center in the amount of $6,000; (2) acceptance of a gift of backpacks and school supplies from the Family Resource Center with an estimated value of $4,000; and (3) approval, on the superintendent's recommendation, of an overnight field trip for 20 students and two chaperones to attend an outdoor-skills program from Friday, Nov. 7, to Saturday, Nov. 8.
The roll call on the consent agenda recorded affirmative votes from: Miss Hernandez; Mister O'Regan; Miss Enriquez; Miss Cabral; Mister Gomez Pereira; Miss Valderas; Doctor Neville; Miss Coves Caraballo; and Miss Alfaro. The clerk recorded the result as nine in the affirmative and zero opposed.
No amendments or conditions were recorded on the public record at the time of the vote. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded before the roll-call vote. The minutes also record earlier procedural motions to approve the minutes of the Oct. 8, 2025 regular meeting; that motion was made, seconded and the meeting proceeded to presentations.
