The Pleasant View Planning Commission on Monday approved a subdivision plat amendment that moves a lot line between adjacent parcels in Deercrest Phase 4 to improve driveway access, but the approval is conditioned on addressing engineer red‑line items before final recordation.

Planner Tammy said the petitioner owns two adjoining lots and requested a boundary adjustment so the lot containing the house would gain additional driveway access. Staff and the public works director confirmed utilities would remain serviceable under the proposed configuration; vacating the public utility easement was not part of the current amendment and would require a separate vacation application and utility signatures.

Petitioner Don Hart explained he had originally expected a public utility easement (PUE) to move with the lot line but was told the easement must be separately vacated or reconfigured with utility signoffs. City staff said the engineer’s red lines must be resolved before a final plat will be recorded. Commissioner Jeff moved to approve the application from Sean and Taryn Hart for the subdivision plat amendment, with conditions addressing the engineer’s red‑line issues; the motion passed unanimously.

The approval allows the petitioner to record the amended plat after staff confirms the engineer’s corrections and secures any required utility approvals. The commission emphasized the decision does not vacate the PUE; that remains a separate action if the petitioner later pursues it.
