The Lee County School Board voted Nov. 4 to increase previously approved pavement maintenance contract authority by $365,000, bringing the total not-to-exceed amount to $1,265,000 for work performed between Nov. 4, 2025 and April 9, 2026.
Superintendent Dr. Christopher Carlin said the increase was requested because maintenance services require additional work; the recommendation named American Management Resources Corporation (AMRC), Pavement Maintenance LLC and Tobler Construction Inc. as contractors. Board members confirmed the work is for drainage and infrastructure maintenance and said work will occur during the district's drier months.
Approval authorizes the superintendent to execute all related documents. Board discussion included assurances that specific times and locations were identified to staff prior to the vote.
