BRADFORD COUNTY — The Bradford County Planning and Zoning Board on Nov. 4, 2025, unanimously approved multiple amendments to the county's future land use map and related rezoning requests for parcels totaling several acres across unincorporated Bradford County.
Planning staff presented each application, read the formal resolutions, and said signs were posted and proof of publication was on file. For at least one application staff reported a recommendation from North Florida Planning Services. No members of the public spoke on any item during the meeting.
The board approved future land use amendments that reclassify parcels from agricultural or residential uses to commercial or industrial uses, and separately approved rezoning of the same parcels on the official zoning atlas. Each motion was made, seconded and passed on a 4-0 vote.

What was said and why it matters
Planning staff read the resolutions and legal descriptions into the record for each application and confirmed posting of signs and proof of publication. For the S25-08268 application staff cited a data analysis and a recommendation from North Florida Planning Services; the board then voted to forward approval as presented. Across all items the board recorded no public comments during the hearing.
The approvals amend the county's future land use map and the official zoning atlas for the parcels listed above. Those changes clear the way for future permit applications or development proposals that would rely on the updated land use and zoning designations; any subsequent development proposals would remain subject to site-plan review and applicable county regulations.
Meeting process notes
The board conducted the business portion of the meeting after opening remarks, approval of minutes from July and Aug. 21, 2025, and announcements that Commissioner Andrews was absent. Each land-use item was presented in standard form: staff read the resolution, asked for public comment, and recorded a motion, a second and a roll-call style voice vote (the record shows unanimous "aye" responses and a result recorded as "motion carries 4-0").
The board did not take any final development approvals at the Nov. 4 session; the recorded actions are recommendations/resolutions and rezoning approvals by the planning and zoning board. Any additional permits or site-specific approvals would proceed under separate procedures.
For the record
Planning staff read statutory authority cited in several resolutions as sections 163.3161 through 163.3248 of the Florida Statutes.
Closing
After the last rezoning vote the chair closed the planning and zoning portion of the meeting and indicated no further planning business for the morning.
