Planning staff presented PUD 286b on Nov. 5 as a major amendment request to allow industrial light uses throughout a building that is currently split between office and industrial zoning. Staff described the property's land use as employment and said it recommends approval while retaining restrictions to limit impacts on the adjacent residential area to the west.
"There are some restrictions on, how close that can encroach to the the residential on the the west side of the property, but staff finds it, a reasonable request and we recommend approval," staff said.
Attorney John Moody, representing the property owner, said he agreed with staff's recommendation. "I am in agreement with staff's recommendation," Moody told the commission.
The commission did not record a final vote on PUD 286b during the portion of the transcript provided; staff's recommendation and the applicant's agreement were on the record Nov. 5.
The commission's next steps would be to consider motions and any public testimony during the public hearing on the item. Staff presented zoning-class detail, noting the property is currently split between office and light industrial zones and that the proposed amendment would extend industrial light allowances within the building footprint.
