Miss Carrasco presented website analytics for kingsburgdowntown.com during the Nov. 4 BID meeting, reporting about 7.2 clicks in the most recent 28-day window on one metric and year-to-date totals that included roughly 74,000 clicks and 8,800 active users. She said the merchant directory, parking information and events pages were among the top pages and that Google search was the largest source of site traffic.
Board members discussed whether the site is delivering measurable revenue to merchants; Miss Carrasco and others emphasized the site’s role as an informational directory rather than a direct sales platform. Members recommended adding a Dollar Dollars link on the site and discussed creating a new “brag” or accomplishments page to highlight BID-funded projects.
Amanda volunteered to lead a website-beautification subcommittee, with Julianne helping; the subcommittee will gather current photography, ask Quinn for recent images and consider recruiting students from the local continuation school’s graphic-design or photography programs. Miss Carrasco said updated photos and incremental new pages could improve engagement; she asked for at least one board volunteer to serve as a second reviewer to approve photo selection and content changes before publishing.
No contract or purchase was authorized at the Nov. 4 meeting; staff will pursue a subcommittee process and report back with a staging plan and any cost estimates for new pages.
