Event services and operations staff briefed the board on recent activity, crowding and lessons learned from concurrent events.
Ryan Harbour, chief of staff for Nashville Soccer Club, opened campus partner updates and noted recent club successes and venue uses: "So the day after our last meeting in Austin, Texas, we played for the US Open Cup championship...we were victorious and brought home the first championship trophy for the organization." He said the club has installed permanent signage at Geodis Park and described recent concert nights, and detailed turf‑preservation steps the stadium took during load‑in/load‑out for concerts.
Event services reported six in‑house events the week of the meeting and a strong October flea market with about 300 vendors. Staff said PandaFest generated higher traffic than expected and overlapped with peak flea‑market hours and a reptile show, creating Saturday morning congestion. "Since this was a new event for us, we didn't fully understand the scope of what kind of event was coming," the events presenter said; staff credited proactive planning but said they will develop improved traffic patterns for future concurrent events.
Operations staff reported preparations for winterizing irrigation, recent roof repairs in Expo 2, and restroom floor maintenance estimates of $20,000–$27,000 per restroom to refinish floors if needed. Operations will pilot cleaning approaches before committing to costly refinish work.
No formal action was taken; staff were asked to provide refined traffic plans for future concurrent events and Christmas Village.
