At a public hearing, city staff described the transfer of an on/off-sale malt beverage, South Dakota farm wine and video license from Bohnix Express (801 N. Highway 281) to Bon River LLC, which will operate as Bon Express. Staff said the transfer is routine following a change in ownership; the council approved the transfer by roll-call vote.

The council then approved a separate transfer of a retail on‑sale liquor license (r l 54-11) from Plaza Rentals (813 Circle Drive) to Bon River LLC to allow combined operations at the Bon Express location. City staff explained the two approvals will allow the new operator to conduct both malt beverage and retail liquor sales at the same site.

Council also granted a one‑day on‑sale beer, wine and cider license for the Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce to host a business-after-hours event at the Aberdeen Civic Arena, 203 S. Washington St. No public opposition was recorded at the hearing.

All three items were approved by roll-call votes with affirmative responses recorded for council members present. The transfers were processed as standard license transfers following an ownership change; staff recommended approval for each item.
