The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners recognized Annette Schafer of the Lincoln County Court as the recipient of the 2025 Outstanding Clerk Magistrate award.

A judge who worked with Schafer said the award is a statewide branch award that honors outstanding clerk magistrates across the state. The judge noted Schafer received five nominations and "had the most nominations" in the category and praised her reliability, innovation and service to the judicial branch. The judge added that although Schafer is not a county employee, "you certainly do a lot of work that affects our citizens," and the commissioners responded with congratulations and asked for a photo.
