City Manager Richard told the Brooksville City Council on Nov. 3 that David Miller of Bryant Miller Olive — who previously provided pension legal services under the direction of the city attorney (Vos Law Firm) — has announced his retirement. The city manager and the Vos Law Firm recommended that Glenn Thomas of Lewis Longman & Walker, PA assume the city's pension‑related legal matters.

Richard said Vos Law Firm reviewed Lewis Longman & Walker’s engagement letter and recommended approval to ensure continuity for ongoing pension matters. Council moved, seconded and voted to approve the engagement; the vote was recorded as adopted without opposition.

Next steps: the city will execute the engagement letter with Lewis Longman & Walker and transfer pension‑related files and pending matters to the new counsel.
