The Dublin City Council on Nov. 3 authorized the city manager to execute a contract with the Franklin County General Health District for public-health services in 2026.
Staff said Franklin County Public Health serves as Dublin’s public-health agency, including portions of the city in neighboring counties. The board approved a 3% rate increase for 2026. City staff estimated the city’s 2026 cost at about $513,000, an increase of slightly more than $16,000 from 2025, and noted the expense was budgeted in the adopted 2026 operating budget.
Council asked no substantive questions at the time and approved the resolution by roll call. Staff said they value the partnership with Franklin County Public Health and noted the county’s commissioner and staff are responsive.
