The Art in Public Places (AIPP) Board on Nov. 4 voted to defer agenda item 1 to the board's December meeting and accepted the applicant's withdrawal of agenda item 2.

AIPP staff member Indra told the board that "AFPP staff and the city is requesting deferral of item number 1 and withdrawal of item number 2 on the agenda." Staff later explained the applicant withdrew item 2 because the artist's exhibition schedule conflicted with the project timeline. Staff said item 1 was deferred at the request of District 1 Commissioner Gabella to allow further talks over proposed aesthetic changes to a mural at 20 Marseille Park.

Chair Francisco Hereites placed a motion on the floor to defer item 1 and withdraw item 2, saying, "I make a motion to defer, item number 1 and withdraw item number 2." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.

The board also approved minutes for June 9, 2025; July 14, 2025; and Sept. 8, 2025 after a motion to approve the minutes was seconded by Board member Olga Granda and carried by voice vote.

Absence waivers for Nelson Delgado, Christina Cuervo (listed in earlier roll call text as Christina Quavo/Quavo) and Gary Feinberg were presented and approved by voice vote following a motion and second.

The meeting record shows the board and staff discussed notification practices after multiple members said they received emails about attendance and that earlier notice of the agenda changes would have been helpful. Staff said it would notify the board in future instances where a substantial agenda change is expected.

The deferred item will return to the board at the December meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, staff confirmed. The board adjourned after the scheduled business was completed.
