Dr. Michael Connelly, superintendent of Wheeling CCSD 21, said the district is welcoming Angelica Hoosman as its newest member of the Board of Education.
Connelly said Hoosman brings "a wealth of experience, a strong commitment to our schools, and a fresh perspective as both a parent and community member." He added, "Please join us in welcoming Angelica to the board. We know she'll be a wonderful advocate for our students and community." The superintendent also noted Hoosman's connection to Poe School, saying she has a child enrolled there.
The announcement did not include details on the appointment process, the length of Hoosman's term or whether the seat was filled by appointment or election. Those details were not specified in the newsletter.
The district asked the community to join in welcoming Hoosman as she begins serving on the board.
