Superintendent Dr. Lupitz opened the superintendent’s report by thanking staff for a successful start to the school year and by highlighting activities under way.
"We started school last week on September 2 as of today, the eighth day of school. Things are going extremely well. Thank you to all the staff who worked so hard to kick off the school year on the right foot, especially our support staff, our bus drivers, custodians, child nutrition staff, various paraprofessionals," Dr. Lupitz said.
He noted that fall sports were underway and that high-school teams had at least one match; WT Chipman sports were preparing to begin formal play next week. He reminded families to check each school's calendar for open-house dates and times. Dr. Lupitz also emphasized attendance and two-way communication between families and school staff as key to student success.
The superintendent concluded his report and yielded the floor to the board for questions; none were raised during the meeting.
