On Oct. 30 Tampa City Council gave first-reading approval to a special-use permit (AB22515) allowing a restaurant at 2905 North 50th Street to sell beer, wine and liquor for consumption on premise only.

Development coordination staff described the site and the proposed indoor and outdoor alcohol-sales areas and reported the Development Review Committee (DRC) found the application inconsistent because it requested a distance separation waiver. The applicant and agent appeared and answered council questions. No public speakers addressed the item; council approved the first-reading ordinance by motion and vote. The city clerk recorded the item as carried on first reading; second reading and adoption were set for Nov. 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Old City Hall.

Staff noted the inconsistency recommendation in the record; council approved the first reading notwithstanding staff'level concerns and scheduled the second-reading adoption date.
