Nelson, the event manager, presented a proposed logo for the Bannock County Events Complex on Oct. 30 and also introduced a simplified port logo for the amphitheatre.

Nelson said the design uses columns that "are essentially a music bar" and incorporates colors inspired by sunsets, water and grass. The team selected a blue font variation and discussed removing pine trees from the blue version because pine trees do not reflect the local landscape.

Commissioners discussed embroidery and screen-printing concerns and the plan to use a simpler text-only mark for some merchandise. One commissioner moved to approve both logos as presented and commissioners approved the motion by voice vote.

Why it matters: The logos will be used on the event complex website, promotional materials and merchandise; simplifying the design for screen printing and embroidery reduces production costs.

Looking ahead: Production-ready assets and a style guide will be finalized to mirror the county's existing brand standards.
