The Voorhees Township School District board voted to approve multiple consent and committee recommendations during the October meeting.

Policy committee: The board approved for first reading policy 0143 and 2422 and for second reading policies 1636.01 and 5339.01 after committee recommendation. The policy committee report noted the items were recommended for full-board approval.

Curriculum: The Academic Excellence Committee reviewed extended-day and club items, K'3 universal screening data and NJSLA adaptive testing updates; curriculum items on the agenda were moved and approved by unanimous vote.

Personnel: The personnel and community relations committee recommended approval of a slate that included a VMS ELA teacher and three full-time instructional assistant positions; personnel items 15.1' 15.22 were approved by unanimous vote. Item 15.23 (a residency-related personnel action) was pulled for separate consideration and later approved 7'2 (see separate item in this package).

Finance and operations: The finance committee recommended approval of finance, transportation and buildings & grounds items; the board approved those items unanimously. Committee discussion noted a pending solar initiative consultant engagement, a Mayor Rodo field agreement awaiting township action, and additional change orders at the Voorhees Early Childhood Development Center (VECDC) that the committee asked to table pending satisfactory clarification and final closeout documents.

Votes on policy, curriculum, personnel (other than 15.23), finance, transportation and buildings & grounds were recorded as unanimous in the online roll call.
