Special Magistrate Stephanie Marchman ordered cleanup at 334 Southwest Commerce Drive after the city documented multiple outdoor violations, including damaged signage, accumulation of trailers and containers, and weed and sanitation issues.
City staff presented a timeline showing initial notices in May 2025, inspections and a partial cleanup (boats removed) but continued violations. Staff asked for 60 days to correct remaining violations and requested a $50-per-day fine to begin after that period plus reimbursement of $20.88 in mailing costs.
Property representative Herman Camacho (who identified himself in the hearing) said some items had been removed and that he had applied for permits earlier; he told the magistrate he could address the weeds, debris and sign within 60 days if the city would help with permitting. Camacho said replacing or repairing the sign would be costly because of height and equipment needs, but agreed he could “take it off” or otherwise clean the sign area. When the magistrate asked if Camacho could comply in 60 days he replied, “Yes. I can do that.”
Magistrate Marchman granted the city’s request: the owner must clean up the property and repair or remove the damaged sign within 60 days, or a $50-per-day fine will begin to accrue. The order also requires payment of $20.88 for mailing costs.
