The Baltimore City Council recorded action on multiple measures Monday and advanced several bills toward final consideration. The clerk read bills on third reading and the council approved the following measures as read:
- City Council Bill 25-0050 — Water bill tenant right to review: approved on third reading. The measure provides tenants with a right to review water-bill records as described in the bill text at third reading. (Clerk read names: Parker, McCray, Dorsey, Conway, Schleifer, Middleton, Torrance, Gray, Bullock, Porter, Blanchard, Jones, Glover, Ramos, Cohen.)
- City Council Bill 25-0059 — Building, fire and related codes; vacant building receivers; failure to sell: approved on third reading. The bill addresses code enforcement and procedures related to receivership for vacant buildings and failure-to-sell provisions.
- City Council Bill 25-0069 — Sale of property, 1820 North Charles Street: approved on third reading.
- City Council Bill 25-0074 — Repeal of ordinance 06-222 (Planned unit development 1100 Wicomico Street): approved on third reading.
In addition to those third-reading approvals, numerous land-use and street-closure bills were read, committee amendments were adopted on several items, and multiple measures were printed for third reading for later final votes. Several bills from the Land Use and Transportation Committee were recommitted to committee for additional agency reports and others were advanced with committee amendments.
