The Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission approved a request on Oct. 1 to extend the deadline for corrective work on a violation case at 5814 Beechwood Avenue (2024COA356) in Irvington.

Staff reported the property has changed hands and the new owner is taking responsibility for required corrections. Meg Bush (staff) said the work has started but remains incomplete pending delivery of new windows; the applicant requested a two‑month extension to December to finish the repairs. Commissioners voted in favor of the extension; the chair announced the extension to December was approved.

The commission recorded the extension as a formal amendment to the remediation schedule; staff will monitor progress and report back if conditions change.
