At the Oct. 9, 2025 meeting, planning staff announced that the sign-code work session originally scheduled for October had been canceled and that a listening session with sign companies is rescheduled for Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. in the Board Chambers.

Staff reported that earlier work sessions identified the draft sign code as too long and confusing in format. The plan is to take the format of the existing sign code and apply previously agreed substantive changes into that structure, then provide the reformatted draft to commissioners for review. Staff said they will notify sign companies and seek their input once the revised draft is ready and that the next work session date will be scheduled via email or a poll.

Commissioners confirmed the Nov. 20 listening session time of 5 p.m.; staff noted an email was sent Oct. 3 regarding the change. No formal action was required.
