The Leander City Council voted Oct. 2 to approve and authorize execution of a settlement agreement discussed in executive session regarding Public Utilities Commission docket number 57824.

Council convened an executive session to confer with legal counsel on the petition by Hero Way Development LLC to amend certificates of convenience and necessity (CCNs) in Travis and Williamson counties. After returning to open session, a council member moved to approve the settlement discussed in executive session and to authorize the city manager and city attorney to execute documents necessary to effect the settlement. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.

Council did not disclose settlement details in the open session record beyond the motion to approve and the authorization to sign implementing documents. The action was recorded as a unanimous vote. The settlement will be implemented through the city manager and city attorney executing the required documents.
