The Mills Planning and Zoning Board reapproved its bylaws for signature, approved meeting minutes from August and September meetings and elected officers for the 2025–26 term.
At the start of the meeting, the board addressed housekeeping items. Jeff Jarrett moved to reapprove the bylaws as presented so they could be signed; a second was given and the motion passed by voice vote. The board then approved meeting minutes from the August 7 regular meeting and the special meeting on Sept. 10 after correcting a date typo in the minutes for an earlier meeting.
The board then opened nominations for officers. Commissioner Tara nominated John Goedger for chair; the nomination was seconded and John Goedger was confirmed by voice vote. The board then nominated Chris for vice chair, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Why it matters: the reapproval and signature of bylaws completes administrative recordkeeping; approval of minutes corrects the meeting record and the election establishes leadership for the coming term.
Formal actions taken at the meeting included motions to reapprove and sign the bylaws; to approve the minutes of Aug. 7 and the special meeting of Sept. 10; and nominations and approvals of the chair and vice chair.
