The Delaware County Redevelopment Commission voted Oct. 9 to approve a revised interlocal agreement with the Daleville Redevelopment Commission concerning a Daleville tax-increment financing (TIF) arrangement.
Chair K. introduced the item and said the draft before the commission “is the result of negotiation and discussion with Daleville’s attorney.” He said Daleville’s redevelopment commission approved the concept 4–1 on June 16 and was expected to adopt the interlocal agreement at its meeting the following week.
The agreement was removed from the table and a motion to approve the document as presented passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting yes (Miss Green, Commissioner Brand, Commissioner Henry and Mr. Wigley). The commission did not identify any amendments during the public meeting.
The document presented to the county reflects negotiated terms acceptable to Daleville’s legal counsel, and commission members indicated they expect Daleville to consider its own adoption at its upcoming meeting. No dollar amounts, ordinance numbers or effective dates were read into the record during the Delaware County vote.
Because the Daleville body must adopt the interlocal agreement separately, the county’s action was an approval of the draft as submitted rather than final implementation by both jurisdictions. The commission did not attach additional conditions beyond the negotiated draft.
