Staff reported a modest increase in rentals, with revenue around $13,000 for the month (up from about $9,400 the prior month) and 11 social gatherings recorded. Staff also reported more than 200 hours of pickleball play for the reporting period and said crews performed power washing and minor upkeep throughout the park.
The committee discussed weekend cleaning and park-attendant coverage. Staff said Tony’s Clean Team, which had provided weekend bathroom cleaning during higher-volume months, will not continue as park attendant services decline with the season. Committee members asked whether restroom surveillance cameras could be installed to deter vandalism; staff said cameras exist at some park entrances and facilities but not at the restroom in question, and that privacy and policy questions would require consultation with police dispatch and legal counsel.
Members asked staff to follow up on restroom vandalism, camera policy and whether surveillance options could be used to protect significant capital investments such as the renovated playground and bathrooms.
