At the Oct. 7 meeting the Boerne Historical Landmark Commission discussed a proposed change to its regular meeting date. Staff said the current schedule (first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m.) often conflicts with the Planning and Zoning Commission and another committee; those conflicts, coupled with a new state requirement to publish agendas earlier, have compressed staff's packet preparation time.
Staff proposed moving the HLC meeting to the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m., a date when the meeting room is regularly available. Staff said the change would not take effect immediately and would likely come in 2026; because the commission is codified, an amendment to the code will be required before any permanent change.
Commissioners raised no stated objections to the proposed day and time; several emphasized that 5:30 p.m. works well for members who attend after regular work hours. Staff said the item is for initial discussion and that the commission would be notified in advance of any formal proposal to amend the code to change the meeting date.
