Councilor Clark asked for an update Oct. 7 on a sewer problem affecting the Carver neighborhood; city staff told the council the repair is the city’s responsibility and a contractor is being engaged.

Clark said the issue “has been pending for some time” and that initial investigations, including county and health-department reviews, indicated the line needs to be upsized. City staff responding in the meeting said the investigation corroborated that the sewer line needs work and that Capital Projects is coordinating a contractor to complete the repair. “So that is a city obligation, and we are taking care of. We're just waiting on the contractor,” a city staff member said.

No timeline or contract award details were provided during the Oct. 7 meeting. The council did not make a formal motion; staff described the next step as contracting for repairs through Capital Projects.
