City staff said the City of Saratoga Springs has been awarded a $70,000 study funded with federal transportation dollars and requested authorization to enter a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Capital Region Transportation Council (CRTC).

Staff said the city will provide a $7,000 local match drawn from the Complete Streets budget line. The Transportation Council will provide administrative and technical support for a West Avenue corridor study intended to address increased development near the train station; the Planning Department will coordinate with the Department of Public Works (DPW) and Department of Public Services (DPS) throughout the project.
