Tony Cooper of Wing Support used the public-comment period to note that September is Suicide Prevention Month and to encourage conversation about mental-health resources in the community. "The overreaching theme is suicide is preventable," Cooper said, urging residents to reduce stigma and to direct people to local resources.

Cooper referenced supporting organizations including the National Alliance on Mental Illness and said research shows discussing suicide can open pathways to help rather than increasing risk. Commissioners thanked Cooper for the reminder to reach out to neighbors and to listen to those in distress.

The meeting also included an online public comment read by staff from an individual identified as Harper Will Try; the reader said other online comments were not read aloud to preserve neutrality but would remain in the public record.
