The Roseville Area School Board took several procedural actions on Sept. 25: it certified the preliminary levy at the maximum, appointed a Brightworks representative, and adjusted the schedule for upcoming study sessions.
The board voted to approve the preliminary levy payable in 2026 (for the 2026–27 fiscal year) at the maximum levy amount; administration explained certification at the maximum is a common safeguard because the board cannot increase the levy after final certification in December. An administrative note at the meeting stated the district’s overall computed levy amount showed an approximate 3.03% decrease compared with the prior calculation, but the board moved to certify the maximum preliminary levy; the motion carried by voice vote.
On a separate action the board appointed Director Katie Goggins to represent the district on the Brightworks representative assembly and noted the district could substitute a different representative after the November board election if needed. The board said Brightworks is a Minnesota service cooperative that provides shared services to member districts.
The board also approved rescheduling two work‑study sessions (Oct. 14 and Nov. 12) to begin at 4:30 p.m., with the preexisting community input sessions remaining scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
Other routine actions were completed by voice vote, including approval of the consent agenda earlier in the meeting; no roll‑call tallies were offered in the public record for these voice votes.
