The Sacramento County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 7 reappointed Supervisor Desmond to the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Board of Directors and confirmed Patrick Hoon as the alternate for the year ahead. The board voted to approve the appointment unanimously with those members present.
Separately, the board considered nominations and appointments to a range of county advisory boards and commissions. Specific nominations announced during the meeting included Sharon Davis, Brett Hogue and Greg Smith for District 3 seats, and Martin Ross as an additional District 3 nomination; Sally Williams for a cemetery advisory commission seat; Kimberly Grimes and Tara Taylor for maternal, child and adolescent health advisory positions; and John Durbin nominated to a public interest seat on the Behavioral Health Commission. Several other vacancies and nominations were continued to future meetings, and the clerk recorded continuances and future hearing dates as noted on the agenda.
The board’s action included directions to continue consideration of multiple advisory board and commission appointments to later meetings to allow time for processing and additional nominations. The item passed unanimously with those members present.
