Bossier City officials opened bids for Bid P25-07, the construction of a new vehicle maintenance building for the fire department, and read the base bids and alternates aloud. The engineer’s estimate for the project is $1,950,000 and the project is funded by ordinance number 30 of 2025. The clerk reported three addenda for the project.

Brown Builders — base bid $2,560,000; alternate 1 $94,000; alternate 2 $28,500; alternate 3 $4,400.
Hand Construction LLC — base bid $2,196,000; alternate 1 $63,000; alternate 2 $28,000; alternate 3 $4,000.
M and M Builders Incorporated — base bid $2,174,000; alternate 1 $64,500; alternate 2 $28,500; alternate 3 $4,385.
Thrash Construction Services — base bid $2,250,000; alternate 1 $89,500; alternate 2 $62,500; alternate 3 $13,700.
Council asked staff to email a breakdown of the alternates and took the bids under advisement for later award. The clerk recommended the council take the bids under advisement; the council voted to do so by voice vote.
