The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the Sugarbush Phase 2 final county subdivision plat, a four-lot proposal in the Town of Bass Lake submitted by Trace Mullen.
Staff and the county surveyor reviewed the final plat and concluded it complies with the Sawyer County Subdivision Ordinance (Appendix C). The subject lots were described as having no wetland complexes, existing private road dedications and prior required stormwater management for the original subdivision road construction. Staff said that additional county grading permits would be needed if future earth disturbance exceeds local thresholds (10,000 square feet or slopes >12%).
Why it matters: Approval advances a longer-term subdivision process that began with larger parent parcels; this phase creates four certified lots and contributes to the county’s planned development activity in the Bass Lake area.
Vote and record: The committee approved the final plat (motion by Tweed Schumann, second by Dale Magnuson). Roll call recorded all committee members present voting yes.
Ending: Staff reminded the applicant that recording fees and plat recording with the register of deeds occur after committee acceptance; additional permits will be required for future development activity on any lots.
