The Bend Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Board on Oct. 17 approved a fiscal year 2026 supplemental budget by adopting Resolution 2025-04.

Tyler Deakey, Bend MPO manager, told the board the supplemental budget adds funds from three sources: unspent state highway fund revenues carried forward into FY 2026, carry-forward COVID funds the MPO expected to spend in a different year, and a modest increase in Federal Transit Administration 5303 operating funds. Deakey said the changes reflect timing differences in when projects and eligible expenses are completed and recognized in the MPO’s accounts.

The motion to adopt the supplemental budget was made by Councilor Mike Riley, seconded by Commissioner Phil Chang. The board voted unanimously to approve Resolution 2025-04.

Deakey said the board was being asked only to review and adopt the supplemental budget; staff will implement the line‑item changes consistent with the resolution. No public comments were offered during the vote.

The approval moves funding recognition into the FY 2026 budget so staff can program those carry-forward and additional federal funds to planned projects and operating needs.
