The Town of Lakeville Zoning Board of Appeals on Oct. 16 approved the continuation of the Mattel hearing for 90 Main Street after the applicant provided the stamped plans the board had requested.
Chair of the board said the stamped plans satisfied the outstanding requirement and moved to approve the special permit; the motion passed unanimously.
Kathy, a planning department staff member, described the post-decision steps: the applicant has two weeks to complete paperwork, which will then be held by the town clerk for 20 days to allow for any appeals. After that the decision must be recorded at the registry of deeds and the filing receipt returned to the building department to obtain a building permit. "We have 2 weeks to do the paperwork. After that, it goes to the town clerk where it stays for 20 days so that in case there's appeals... then you would go to the registry of deeds, you record that decision, and then you bring your receipt to the building department," Kathy said.
The board did not change conditions of the application at the Oct. 16 session. The applicant (identified in the hearing as Mr. Patel) was told how to proceed with recording and permit issuance and was excused after the board vote.
The board closed the matter with no recorded opposition and no further conditions beyond the usual recording and permit steps.
