The committee voted Oct. 16 to pay an outstanding $9,500 invoice for engineering work on the John Pond Park project and to extend the project's completion date to April 30, 2026.

Committee members said the $25,000 engineering appropriation for John Pond — approved in a prior year — remained unspent on the books as of the Oct. 16 meeting aside from the new invoice. The invoice was presented by the project lead and committee members moved and seconded a motion to pay the $9,500 from Community Preservation Fund project allocations; the motion carried unanimously.

After approving payment the committee also voted to extend the project's timeline, setting a new deadline of April 30, 2026, to allow the engineer extra time to finish plans and permit materials. Staff said they would confirm the extension in writing to the contractor and post the date for the committee record.
