The board approved a motion to allocate up to $300,000 for the purchase of future water rights, a move aimed at ensuring commercial properties have the necessary resources without incurring additional costs. This funding, if approved by the city council, would increase the total available for water rights to $900,000, facilitating future leases.

In addition to water rights, the board also proposed a $100,000 expenditure for a visual improvement program, which has been a successful initiative since its inception in 2011.
