The City of Fenton is set to host its annual lighting ceremony on November 21, 2025, following a unanimous decision by the Board of Aldermen during their committee meeting on August 7. The event, which traditionally takes place the Friday before Thanksgiving, will feature performances by local school choirs, a visit from Santa, and refreshments for attendees.

Alderman Rogers, chair of the Community Development and Affairs committee, presented the proposal, highlighting the event's success in previous years. The city plans to reach out to Lindbergh Elementary Choir for their participation, as Rockwood Elementary performed last year. Additionally, the Winter Market will return to the old library space, accompanied by a food truck to enhance the festive atmosphere.

In other discussions, Mayor noted ongoing improvements at local parks, including the Fabic Nature Preserve and Westside Park, and announced a $5,000 annual donation from Jim Butler Chevrolet to support the upcoming Saint Paul’s soccer tournament.
