The Prosper Town Council meeting on June 24, 2025, highlighted several community events and a significant achievement in health and wellness.

One of the most exciting announcements was the upcoming Bridal in the Sky Independence Day celebration, organized by Cedarbrook Media. Scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, at Frontier Park, the event will kick off at 5 PM and promises a fun-filled evening with live music, kids zones, food, games, and a spectacular fireworks display. This celebration aims to bring families together for a night of enjoyment and community spirit.

Additionally, the Prosper Community Library will host its annual July Fourth parade on Thursday, July 3, at 10 AM, starting around Town Hall. This event is open to families of all ages, encouraging community participation and festive celebration.

In a reminder for residents, town hall offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. However, there will be no delays in trash service, which will continue as scheduled.

The meeting also featured a presentation on the town's commitment to health and wellness through the Mayor's Fitness Challenge. Trevor from the Parks and Recreation Department shared that Prosper participated in a friendly competition with the neighboring town of Little Elm, dubbed the "Journey to a Thousand Miles." This year, Prosper emerged victorious, accumulating over 4 million steps during the month-long challenge, averaging 328,206 steps per participant. The town celebrated this achievement with the presentation of a traveling trophy, reinforcing the community's dedication to fitness and well-being.
