One resident highlighted the already dangerous traffic conditions at the intersection of Douglas Bend and Nashville Pike, warning that increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic could lead to more accidents and fatalities. "Adding additional traffic will result in increased vehicle accidents, including pedestrians," he stated, emphasizing the potential strain on emergency response times.

Safety was a recurring theme, particularly regarding the proposed marina's features, which include over 200 boat slips, a public fuel station, and a children's playground. Residents questioned the security measures that would be in place to protect these areas, especially given the anticipated influx of visitors and the associated risks.
