Olathe Public Schools is embarking on a significant revision of its strategic plan, aiming to enhance educational outcomes and adapt to the evolving needs of the community. During the Board of Education meeting on August 8, 2025, district leaders outlined the collaborative efforts with TrustCentric Consulting and Guild Collective to develop a more dynamic and responsive strategic framework.

The current strategic plan, initiated in the 2018-2019 school year, was designed to guide the district through 2024. However, unforeseen challenges, particularly those arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, necessitated a reevaluation of its effectiveness. Superintendent Dr. Sig emphasized the importance of incorporating diverse voices in the planning process, which has been a hallmark of the district's approach.

Corey Shear from TrustCentric Consulting and Justin Rickliff from Guild Collective presented their vision for the new strategic plan.
