However, the policy also emphasizes that students who have met graduation requirements cannot be permanently denied their diplomas as a disciplinary measure. Instead, temporary withholding of diplomas may occur if a student's conduct disrupts commencement or other senior ceremonies.

Commencement, a cherished tradition within the district, remains a voluntary event. Students are not required to attend the ceremony to graduate or receive their diplomas.
